The Youngen Horny is an English style Barley Wine (all grain, no grapes) made in the traditional British smooth style. Named Barley Wine for its high alcoholic strength, this once a year brew started out with nearly 850 pounds of malt squeezed into our seven barrel mash tun. As the grain came to the lip of the tun and occasionally spilled over while we stirred the mash, we dreamed of the pleasure it would bring one day. We pushed our system to its limits and six weeks later arrived at a deliciously balanced 9.5% ABV beer with fruity fig and caramel aromas, a light toasty bread crust quality, and a rich intensely long finish. We proudly unveil our BW with the hope you enjoy the balance, elegance and pleasure this beer provides. Youngen Horny is served in a brandy snifter because any more than a handful is a waste. Sorry, we cannot fill growlers, beer towers or pitchers. Moderation is important, even in moderation.

Hops Used: Northern Brewer, Fuggles, Goldings
