A crisp, refreshing beverage is exactly what I wanted after an entire day of lifting boxes, climbing ladders, and moving furniture in preparation for my school library's book fair. After school, I met my fellow teachers at Tyler's to decompress after teaching middle school all week. I had been looking forward to my pear salad all day, but what to drink...?
And then I saw it. Crispin. On tap. Mmmmm. The tall glass. The ice. The bubbles. The apple aroma. And the perfect soulmate for a pear salad with Gorgonzola and candied walnuts, the two of them made sweet, sweet love on my taste buds.
Like my pal Doc Sally, I do love a good cider -- the sweet, robust ones as well as the dry, delicate ones. As its name suggests, Crispin has a crisp, refined taste that is quite like that of champaigne. Its heavy carbonation makes this an especially refreshing beverage that tastes more like a seltzer than a cider. As much as I enjoy its unfettered flavor, I would prefer an apple essence that isn't quite so subtle.
Overall, however, Crispin is the most delicious cider I've had in ages. I raved about it so much, my companions all ordered one of their own.

You flipping cider lovers! Heh. I won't lie, I do occasionally love a good, refreshing cider. I really wanna try more half and half mixes. One of my first loves was the Black Velvet, which is a Guiness and a Woodpecker cider. I think Im gonna go with a Left Hand Milk Stout and some Crispin next.

I've been really impressed with the Crispin line, especially with their unique interpretations. I still have a Crispin Lansdowne sitting on my beer shelf that I have yet to open. Cider with Irish Stout yeast, mmmm. Seeing this review has sparked my curiosity again. That bad boy is going in the fridge.

So glad to see you reviewed this lovely cider, La! I've tried several of the Crispin line, and I think this one may be my favorite so far. I know that Crispin recommends this be served over ice, but I enjoyed it very much straight. It has a very blended apple taste, and without ice it didn't strike me as too dilute. But boy howdy I wish I had some gorgonzola to go with the cider--that sounds like a perfect flavor blend!

Drink the Lansdowne tonight! I had it, and that thing almost made me consider possibly becoming a cider pansy!

I agree that it would be better without the ice. I just wish I had a fridge full right now to test the theory.
