Delicious
I guess I should explain the picture first. Here you will see me combining two of my loves: good beer and Manchester United. Why? Because I am currently watching Man U beat up on Chelsea in the Champions League quarter finals. So I figure, this is an awesome time to bust open a new brew. And since my attention is mostly on the game, I didn't want to try anything that I would have to think too much about. So, an amber is perfect. I searched through the fridge and settled on the Breckenridge Avalanche Ale.

Wow, this brew took me completely by surprise. It's a very solid and very tasty amber. So much so that it has taken some of my attention away from the game in order to review it. Course, some sentences may take a few minutes to get out, but that's okay. I promise that I will write a clear and concise rev...WHOA WHOA WHOA, WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT REF?!!! Okay, back to the beer.

Ambers are typically pretty easy to review. They have very basic traits that breweries tend to be able to master early on. So finding a good amber really isn't that difficult a task, but finding a great amber is a seldom had experience. And this, my friends, is a great amber. The aroma is refreshing and clean with a hint of mild spice. The appearance is classic amber, a beautiful hazy gold. The mouthfeel is very airy and delightful, sweet up front, slightly tangy in the middle, and a nice clean finish with little aftertaste. The flavor is slightly more peppery than an standard amber, which is a nice touch that adds a great deal of character. Overall, this is a delicious must-try amber. Course, you come to expect that quality from Breckenridge.

Avalanche Ale may very well become one of my favorite amber ales. I have to do a little more ''research'' before I make that determination. But regardless, I can definitely recomme... JI SUNG PARK SCORES!!! UNITED UP 2-1!!! WOO!!! Wait, what? Beer.
