An Ode to Bud Light
A Review of Bud Light by Anheuser-Busch
Posted on 2/4/2012 by Chops
When it comes time to review Bud Light, the undisputed champion of terrible beer, there are so many different avenues one can take. I could take the easy route and just rant about the awful experience. I could be more scientific about it and review it as a theoretical first encounter. I could be more political about it and focus all attention onto the questionable business practices of Anheuser-Busch. Better yet, I could take a more pragmatic approach and systematically dismantle everything that is wrong with this horrid excuse for a beverage.

Course, I've already accomplished the later task with Bud Light's big brother Budweiser, so it's easier just to reference that review. When reading it, simply replace any reference to ''Budweiser'' with a lighter shittier version:

So in contemplating how to write a review on perhaps the world's most widely recognized and horrendous beer, I realized that I needed to think of something more creative and memorable. I thought long and hard over many a fine brew, then it hit me: I'm going to write a damn poem!

An Ode to Bud Light, By Chops

Bud Light, Bud Light, try as you might
You're a terrible beer and a market blight

You look like piss and have no taste
You smell like rusty sewage waste

Anheuser-Busch pimps out your name
With million dollar ad campaigns

Horses, frogs and big boob babes
Majestic parties where geeks get laid

We wish you would devote that cash
To make your beer not taste like ass

Yet people drink you all the time
As victims of your bottom line

So to all who drink this vile swill
Come join us on the other hill

It's full of Stone and Oskar Blues
Dogfish, Rogue and Brooklyn too

Drink better beer and bring your buds
The fleshy kind, not those shitty suds
